Louie Wirtanen (b. 1984) is a multidisciplinary artist working in ceramics, photography, painting, and mixed media. Raised in Alaska and New Mexico and now based in Minneapolis, Louie discovered their artistic voice later in life, beginning pottery in her late 30s. After a car accident and a subsequent life-changing TBI, Louie faced rapid physical decline and chronic illness, which forced a deep exploration of self, spirit, and mortality.
In midsummer 2025, after visiting a quantum healer, Louie’s psychic abilities spontaneously awakened, leading to trance channeling. Through meditative journeys, Spirit began moving through Louie as a vessel, delivering visions, guidance, and messages from higher consciousness. These experiences inspired the creation of channeled artworks, translating ethereal visions into tangible forms. Many works reference water, symbolizing the flow of messages and acting as a bridge between the spirit world and the channeler.
Louie’s practice blends intuitive process with skilled craftsmanship, producing pieces that are both visually compelling and energetically alive. Each creation acts as a vessel, carrying Spirit’s language to the corporeal plane, inviting reflection, connection, and personal transformation. For Louie, art is a form of meditation, a channel for higher-frequency Intelligence, and a bridge to one’s authentic self. Through this work, she hopes to facilitate a homecoming to spirit, love, and the highest expression of being.
